Young Researcher Project Exhibition
On June 8th, Research Cell organized an exhibition program in our college premises to exhibit the projects done by students funded by the Management. The exhibition was named YOUNG RESEARCHER PROJECT EXHIBITION – 2022. Our Principal Dr. R. Geetha M.Sc., M.Phil, Ph.D. was our chief guest on this peculiar day. The exhibition started at 12.00 pm with ribbon cutting by our Principal. Vice Principal, Research Cell Team and faculty members were present at the exhibition. The exhibition was open to aided and self support faculty members. There were 37 projects displayed by our students who were doing their Young Researcher Project. Room No.8 the nutrition department students exhibited their variety of products such as Mango Incorporated Vegan Peanut Kefir, Mexican Mint chocolate, Fermented Banana Blossom, etc Physics department students exhibited their projects related to nanocomposite thin film zinc ion batteries and Metal oxide nanostructures and commerce department exhibited their research work on consumer purchasing behaviour towards online shopping(Grocery, pharmacy). Room No. 9 English department students exhibited their literary works and developed Apps for ADHD and visually impaired learners, Computer science students exhibited their models using IOT, blockchain technology etc and the students of BCA and Mathematics developed self learning websites for college students and faculty. The participant were so happy with their creativity. Principal surveyed the exhibition and asked about the details from the students who made their projects. The principal also gave a motivational speech and admired students for their efforts and interest. She announced that she will organize this exhibition in the college every year so that the students take more interest and know the importance of new technology. Other people who came to see the exhibition also enjoyed the event very much. The exhibition ended successfully at 3.00pm.
Training Program
Under the Research cell of our College, a five day training program on “Art of writing effective Research Article” was organized for Final year PG Students of all disciplines and the Research Scholars from 31.10.2022 to 04.11.2022.
The main objective of this programme is to equip the students to write a well-structured and qualitative research article.
Resource persons from various disciplines have been invited and they addressed the students on the following topics:
- Research Problem Identification
- Abstract
- Literature Review
- Structure of the Research Report
- Bibliography and References
- Ethics in Research
- Plagiarism
The training is to be evaluated as a Part -II component – Research Skill forsecond year PG students.
They are required to submit one Research article on their own and submit to their respective departments. The Best articles will be recommended for publication in one of our College Research Journals.

WorkShop on Research and Publication Ethics (RPE)
A two day workshop sponsored by the management on “Research and Publication Ethics (RPE)” was conducted on 7/12/2022 and 8/12/2022 by Research cell under Samzodhana Naipunyam. 90 scholars from various colleges attended the workshop. Dr.K.Kaliyaperumal, Former University Librarian, University of Madras, was the resource person. The workshop is intended to develop fundamental knowledge of philosophy of science and ethics, research integrity and publication ethics. The resource person gave very good input to the scholar regarding indexing, finding and publishing in open access journals and about research metrics like citations, hindex, impact factor etc. He also elaborated on plagiarism tools and ethics to be followed during research.
