The virtual talk was based on food product innovations, future of food trends, nutraceutical & functional foods, categories and need for process food, stages in developing new product, food perception model, scope of entrepreneurship in processed food, etc.

2020-2021 is the 5th year of RAC of SDNBVC with highest number of enrolled members. Our theme of the year is rise by lifting others with ideology of an ant and its swarm which never loses hope and no matter how small they still put in efforts and always show a helping hand and work as a team. We belong to group 3.Our club number is 215818.This year it was not just the board but also green rotaractors and general rotaractors who led and too part in projects which created a good interaction though it was a pandemic year running virtually. We did 61 projects for this year.

Department of Visual Communication conducted a creative 24 hour long painting workshop in a two day split basis on 27th and 28th of March 2021. The students of the Department worked with the guidance of a renowned artist Mr. Vinoth Kumar A.K.A. Artist Six.
Mr. Vinoth Kumar is a Core Member at Madrasters and a Senior Visual Designer at Zoho Corporation.
A 68×35 inches measured canvas was painted with the guidance of Mr. Vinoth Kumar sir.The Canvas is going to be placed in the Principal’s office in the college.

Citizen Consumer Club of S.D. N. B. Vaishnav college for women conducted Awareness Programme on “Consumer Production Act 2019” and “Consumer Complaints, Handling, and Standards”, on 9/3/2021 for the college consumer members. The Chief Guest for the session was A. Asokan, M.A., B.L., Chairman, FEDCOT, Tamil Nadu, and Pondicherry. He delivered a speech on the Consumer Production Act and explained the consumer’s fundamental rights and their uses in daily life.
Another Eminent Guest was A. Selvaraj, Chairman, FEDCOT, India who delivered a speech on “Consumer Complaints, Handling, and Standards” on how to complain against false advertisement, mixing products and for customer paid items, etc. It clearly explained how to solve these problems in day-to-day life. Both sessions were lively online and informative.

DEPARTMENT OF BBA CONDUCTED A VIRTUAL TALK ON “MBA AS A CAREER” BY Assistant Professor V.Stracey George from Care group of Institutions on 24/03/2021 which was conducted virtually through zoom link with hundred participants and was telecasted live on youtube which got around nearby one thousand views. It focused mainly on career options BBA students will get once they complete their MBA.
Department of BBA Conducted a National Webinar on “EVOLVING ROLE OF HR POST PANDEMIC” by Dr. R. Gayathri,Deputy Manager-Talent Management, Kone Elevator India pvt .Ltd conducted on 12th April 2021 on online Platform through zoom link with hundred participants from different colleges with origin from different states and was streamed live on youtube which got almost five hundred views and the focus of the webinar was totally on managing and adapting the new normal post pandemic in HR field.
Inter Departmental competition was conducted by BBA Department Students on1st April 2021 with events “BLOBBY DESIGINING” AND “GUESS THE BUSINESS PERSONALITY” Which received excellent response from students .

The Inter-departmental Competition “BUSINESS CONNECTIONS”was conducted on 20th January 2020 in Room No:45, evening block. The competition consisted of different pictures depicting commerce terms and industrial brands to test the knowledge and awareness among the students of various UG streams. It consisted of three rounds namely “4 pics 1 word”, “Guess the Terms”& Decide the Champ??. The chief guests of the event Dr.D.LALITHA, Associate Professor, M.Com Department & Mrs. V.SUBASSHINI, Head In-charge, B.Sc Clinical Nutrition & Diet judged and announced the Prize winners of the event. I Prize – WajidhaBegum.E &Aksharaa.N.S [B.COM (General) II year C batch]: II Prize– Pavithra.B.V & Varsha.M [B.COM (General) I year D batch]: III Prize– Shruthi.S & Renga Padma [B.COM (Professional Accounting) I year] have been declared by the judges of the event.
National level e-Quiz “COMM QUIZ” 2020 on Cost & Management Accounting and GST was organised between 24th to 28th June 2020 in the virtual platform and participants from various fields enthusiastically participated and received e-certificates for the e-Quizzes based on the virtuous marks secured by them.
Department of B.Com (Honours) offers a distinctive component CASE STUDY as a part of the academic programme in all major subjects with an objective tomake students learn with real expertise in the field of commerce, accounting & finance industry. It is also one of the compulsory question asked during semester examination for the students in all major subjects and writing a case study helps them to accomplish an academic requirement and to help solve problems in real-life situations. Case study classes were conducted during odd and even semester on all major subjects for I, II & III-year students to acquire knowledge on the facts and data relevant to the field of Commerce, accounting, finance and Management.In the Academic year 2019-20, Case study classes were conducted during October 2019 [Odd semester as well as during February & March 2020 [even semester] respectively in the college premises.
MEDIJI 2021 – The National Level Virtual Culturals
The Department of Visual Communication organized “MEDIJI 2021”, a National Level Virtual Culturals held on 18th February 2021
The logo, theme and events were launched on Instagram Live by the young and talented actor, Mr. Vetri of ‘8 Thottakal’ fame which is held on 22nd January, 2021. The theme for Mediji 2021 was LOL, The Fun Begins.
On 18th February 2021, The Department of Visual Communication conducted an exclusive webinar on ‘Writing and Performing Comedy’ by the resource person, Mr. R. Jayachandran, a renowned comedian & Star Vijay TV’s Kalakka Poovadhu Yaaru Season 9 Title Winner held at 10:00 A.M. It was a grand success that nearly 900 participants from various colleges in all over India were attended the session on Zoom as well as YouTube streaming. A live webinar with the resource person was very interesting, knowledgeable and informative for the participants.
It was a splendid national level virtual culturals held from 25th January 2021 to 14th February 2021. There were 8 online events such as Palm Painting and 60 seconds Fame for school level and Meme Creation, Palm Painting, Photography, 60 seconds Fame, Short Film & Stand up Comedy for college level. Overall, 189 students from various schools and colleges in all over India had participated for the virtual events.
The result announcement for Mediji 2021 was declared by the legendary comedian of Tamil Cinema, Kalaimamani Mr. Delhi Ganesh held at 3 P.M. 23 participants from various schools and colleges won the 8 virtual events.
Mediji 2021 was supported by Ha Ha Arts & Gifts, Olive Beauty Products and SV Herbs & Beauty Care. ‘Voice on Tamil’ was our digital media partner and Team Kollywood’, our social media partner.
It was followed by a vote of thanks and the virtual culturals concluded.

On March 12, 2021, the results announcing the prize winners of PRAKRITI 2021 were conducted through an Instagram live by Master Fame Actor, Mr. Lallu Prasath. He announced the names of the winners of PRAKRITI 2021.
