NSS ACTIVITIES 2023-24
SCHOOL CLEANING EVENT
The NSS club of SDNB Vaishnav college for women in association with FASS Sriperumbudur NGO actively participated in the cleaning of the Panchayat Union primary school in Sriperumbudur on 27/08/2023. The NSS Volunteers took active participation in cleaning the unwanted plants and plastics in the School Ground.
NSS INAUGURATION AND ORIENTATION
The NSS club of SDNB Vaishnav College for women organised a program to encourage students to actively participate in social service activities, which was held on 21/08/2023. It was Inaugurated by our honourable chief guest Mr. T. Mohan (Founder of Kanchi food trust), Prof.D. Paneer Selvan, M.phil( Founder of Sarvam food trust) and DR. M. N. Sai Krishnan ( Founder of Nidhrsanam trust), fostering a sense of responsibility towards our community and promoting a spirit of volunteerism. They also shared valuable insights on leadership during the event. In conclusion, they also delivered an inspiring address that underscored the importance of helping the society. The students left the event with a renewed commitment to contribute to the betterment of their communities through meaningful acts of service.
DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL BAG
The NSS UNIT of SHRIMATHI DEVKUNVAR NANALAL BHATT VAISHNAV COLLAGE FOR WOMAN CHROMEPET & Ireland Rajanikanth fans club and Vidhaigal Thannarava Amaipu joined together and distributed the free school bags for Walajhabad school students (Irular) on 23/7/2023. This action encourages and motivates the students of irular community to study with interest and gave speech to students about the importance of studies.
KANCHI POND CLEANING
The NSS club of SDNB Vaishnav College for women actively participated in the cleaning event which was organized by Wallajabad vidhaigal volunteers and Pasumai India. It was held in kanchipuram 20/08/2023. The pond was in 8 acres which has the Sangamam of sacred river waters. The NSS volunteers took active participation in cleaning the pond and made the event grand success with collecting of 2000 kgs of plastic waste from the pond and the pond have been cleaned.
