Since it’s inception during the year 1968, Our Department of Tamil ( Aided stream ) has been rendering strenuous efforts in cultivating flair and good taste among the students towards the most ancient and classical Tamil language and it’s literature.

Ethos ,spiritualism, women empowerment are the live wires of Tamil curriculum. Tamil, being the proud Mother of all languages across the globe, possesses very rich Literature that ranges from ancient Sangam era to modern era – post modern era. Our Department of Tamil takes our students through this unfathomable ocean of Tamil literature that comprises both poetry and prose, enabling them to dive deep and pearl hunt the values imbibed in them .

Functional aspects of Tamil language are also imparted to our students facilitating them to crack various civil service examinations like TNPSC and UPSC successfully.
