Bhatt Vaishnav College for Women has been rendering holistic education to women
students since 1968. From the strength
of 240 students to more than 6,800 students, the benchmarking journey has
transformed many young women lives to traverse in the path of glory and
success. The College has carved a niche in women’s education by upgrading its
status as a Research Institute in 2012 with 10 Departments viz. History and
Tourism, Statistics, Physics, Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology, Computer
Science, Commerce, English, Economics,
Mathematics, Tamil offering Ph.D. programme. Six Research Departments offer
Full-time and Part-time Ph.D. Programme and 3 departments offer Part-time Ph.D.
programme. The College caters to the
needs of her students with high standard of education and discipline through
committed staff that makes women students wiser and stronger.
Our College has
witnessed a multi-directional impressive growth in diversified areas that
provide opportunities to the women students to explore and deepen their
academic interest and extension activities effectively. The vision of the
college is translated into reality as our college paves way to first generation
learners who are 75% of the total student strength.
Digital library is a
repository of knowledge and information and this state of art library houses
many books, e books, journals for the betterment of students. Fully furnished
library instills the interest of reading among students and high ended
computers are provided for research scholars.
Research skill is
instilled in the mind of UG students by providing research seed money by our
college management. Students are encouraged to conduct research to find out a
social impact research finding. All
students are encouraged to write research paper/article to be published in our
college research book called ‘SPARKLES’
and two international journals with e-ISSN encourage staff and students
to collaborate in published value added research findings.
All students of both UG
and PG are given FREE JEEVAN – KAUSHAL training programme to equip them with problem solving skills, reasoning skills,
logical skills, project based skills etc.,
Various clubs like
start up club, Innovation Council, Artificial Intelligence Club, WEDP cell,
Theatre Club, Environ club, Rotract Club, help students to develop them
socially, emotionally, academically, and professionally.
During Pandemic, our
college extended a helping hand to the needy people by donating to PM Cares
Fund and to the Government of Tamil Nadu
Covid Fund. Adding to this, our college has facilitated scholarship to the
needy and meritorious students. Our college has distributed smart mobile phones
to the needy students for attending online classes without any hindrance.
Campus free WiFi has helped students to access the knowledge system without any
glitch.

Insurance Scheme .
Career guidance and
Placement Cell helps students in getting placed as well as encourages and
guides students who are interested to pursue higher studies.
Thermal Scanner in the
entrance is a first of its kind to
ensure the safety of students and staff members.

campus with an experience nurse assures that students and staff are safe and
healthy.
Day Care center is a
bliss for young mothers and Gym on campus is a bonus for health-conscious staff
and students.
