To introduce, enhance and excel in Research, the Research Cell of the college has initiated a program named “Samzodhana Naipunyam” – Research Skills for Staff, students and Research scholars. Under this program, series of workshops, seminars, invited talks etc will be conducted for staff, students and research scholars to enhance their research skills.

A UGC-Sponsored workshop on“Art of Writing Project Proposals”by Dr.P.Subhasini, Associate Prof., Dept of Computer Science, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women was conducted for staff on 30.11.2019 to to know strategies of obtaining project grants from various funding agencies and to expand their research expertise

Webinar – NEP 2020- Restructure Curriculum to structure Indian Higher Education & The Release of Our College Journal Sparkles”
The Research Cell of our college organized a webinar on “NEP 2020- Restructure Curriculum to structure Indian Higher Education” on 19/3/2021 through Zoom platform. Dr(mrs) Pankaj Mittal, Secretary general , Association of Indian Universities, was the Chief Guest of the program and has given a clear idea about the New Education Policy 2020. She explained the significance of Artificial Intelligence technology implementation in our teaching methods. She has highlighted the important points in New Education Policy. She has explained the importance of internship and academic Business credit points. She also explained about the credit transfer of courses undertaken by the student to their account and they process of obtaining their degree through this. She clearly mentioned that the place where the students are now is not a barrier to get a degree from a prestigious university. She also advised that all the teaching community and the college must gear up to adopt the NEP as this is going to be the future of India.
She also released our first college student’s journal “SPARKLES” which is a platform of our young minds.
Webinar – Opportunities for Research Funding in India and Writing a winning Research Proposal
The Research Cell organized a webinar on “Opportunities for Research Funding in India and Writing a winning Research Proposal” on 26/3/2021 through Zoom platform. Dr.C.Valli, Professor and Head, Institute of Animal Nutrition, Directorate Centre for Animal Production Studies, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University was the Resource Person. In this program she has given information about various funding agencies of Government and private bodies. She gave guidelines about writing a research proposal in an constructive and effective way to receive the fund from the agencies.

A week long webinar from 4th October to 8th October 2021 scheduled for 2nd year PG students of all discipline to enhance their research skills and to fulfill their Skill Based Elective requirement in the III semester, under the course title “Research skills” through “SAMZODHANA NAIPUNYAM”- the training program under the Research Cell of our college.
